Skills@School

Location - Kolkata

Under the Government of India’s National Education Policy, Skills@School for Secondary and Higher Secondary Level Students has been defined as a way to prevent drop-outs and to offer skills with livelihood potential, in case students cannot continue their studies. Tomorrow’s Foundation has run its Skills@School Program in Government schools for many years. This program is targeted towards students from poor and marginalised families, with a special focus on girls. The skills training covers both technical and non-technical areas, with an additional life-skills component.

LP4Y – SKILLS FOR YOUTHS

Location - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Chhattisgarh, Rural West Bengal,

LP4Y's mission is to support young adults, especially women aged 18-24, in achieving sustainable integration into society. The programs have been running in India since 2015 with pinpointed skills training along with focus on soft skills. The youth participate in micro companies which are established as a part ofthe training course and pedagogy. The focus ofthese micro companies is to provide some kind of social improvement scheme within the community

Adolescent Boys and Men

Location - Jalpaiguri

The initiative addresses the root causes of exploitation among boys and young men in North Bengal and the Sundarbans by strengthening organizations to lead participatory, youth-centered change. It builds community capacity to identify local challenges and take collective action, while facilitating strength-based conversations with families in Grassmore Tea Garden to map existing resources. The programme also fosters collaboration and leadership across partner NGOs to ensure lasting community impact.

GYVE

Location - Birbhum

Key objectives include building technical skills for green livelihoods, strengthening climate awareness and action, and developing life skills with a focus on gender empowerment. The programme delivers various skilling trainings such as mobile and appliance repair, embroidery, jewellery making, and tailoring, along with structured climate education on adaptation, mitigation, and rural vulnerability. It also promotes climate-smart agriculture practices like kitchen gardening, organic inputs, natural pest control, and tree plantation, alongside youth-led micro-projects, and sessions on communication, leadership, career guidance, gender equality, and health.
